We lost our longtime friend, volunteer and tireless supporter Gwen Romani on September 17, 2018. In addition to her volunteer work with The Brittany Foundation, Gwen provided a long term foster home for many Brittany Foundation dogs over the years. In honor of her dedication to foster care, we have created a Forever Foster Program.
A Forever Foster Home is unlike any other. These amazing people open their hearts and homes to a precious senior or special needs pup, many of whom may not have long to live. These extremely rare and generous folks offer a loving, nurturing, and tranquil place where senior dogs can live out their 3rd act surrounded by nothing but unconditional love and kindness. Gwen believed with her whole heart that every dog should live in a loving home, which is why The Gwen Romani Community Outreach Fund was started in 2018. Now, this fund will also assist us in paying for all the expenses for our Forever Foster Pups, which includes special food, vet visits, surgeries, grooming, medications, and so many other miscellaneous items that are needed when caring for a senior and or special needs pup.
