WILLS / TRUSTS / BEQUESTS
What is a Legacy Gift?
A legacy gift leaves financial support to the non profit causes you are passionate about and does not cost you anything during your lifetime.
Why Leave a Legacy Gift?
A legacy gift is an important step in ensuring the people, projects, and dogs you care deeply about are taken care of.
Ways to Leave a Legacy Gift?
How to Draft a Will or Trust:
If you haven’t drafted/executed a will or trust yet, contact an estate planning attorney. Your local Bar Association can be a good resource for finding attorneys near you.
The following are examples of typical language to include in your will/trust:
"I give and bequeath to the “BRITTANY FOUNDATION ANIMAL SANCTUARY”, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation TAX ID #95-4473261 with mailing address of P.O. Box 738, Acton, CA 93510-0738”
We can’t say which choice is best for you when planning your estate, but one often-used website for making a will is: FreeWill. Many have said that it is straightforward and simple to use, but check with your attorney and decide for yourself.
If you have already included us in your estate plan, please let us know. We would love to express our gratitude and honor your generous support in a meaningful way to you here at The Ranch.
Thank you for considering us as your benefactor. If you have any questions, please reach out to our founder, Nancy Anderson directly at [email protected] or call/text her at 661-713-5240.

Ways to Leave a Legacy Gift?
- Name us in your will: You may choose a specific sum or a portion of your estate.
- Name us as a beneficiary of an IRA / Investment account: A tax-free gift.
- Name us as a beneficiary of a bank account: Establishing this arrangement with your bank can provide a smooth method for incorporating us into your estate plan, as it doesn't need to be included in a will or managed by your estate's executor.
- Leave us a gift of property (home, car): A specific (non cash) gift to the “BRITTANY FOUNDATION ANIMAL SANCTUARY"
