The Brittany Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and placement of homeless dogs. We run a no-kill facility.
We rescue all dogs, regardless of breed, and we often focus our efforts on the harder-to-place dogs such as seniors, disabled or abused dogs, and "media condemned" breeds such as Pit Bulls, Chow Chows, & Dobies.

Tramp: "The staff have chosen me as “Most Likely to Appear in a Disney Movie.” In other words, I’m pretty darn cute! I have been here since I was a puppy, which makes me the longest resident at the ranch. I have a condition called Addison Disease which means I take a pill every other day with my breakfast and get a shot once a month; but I think over the years that has deterred people from choosing me. I promise it doesn’t slow me down one bit! I eagerly walk every day with whoever will take me, so it shouldn’t worry you at all. In fact, The Brittany Foundation is willing to help with all of my medical bills for the right family.
Don’t forget to check out my roommate and faithful friend Missy too! We have been here a really long time."

Many of you know our friend and former Adoption Coordinator, Gwen Romani. Gwen touched many lives, and her passing on September 17 has saddened the entire Brittany Foundation family, as well as her many loving friends and family members.
Gwen volunteered with The Brittany Foundation for over 10 years. In addition to adopting several dogs from us over the years, she worked directly with our dogs at the ranch, served as our Adoption Coordinator, and contributed so many great ideas as well as thousands of hours of her time. She was a huge advocate for helping dogs to stay in their existing loving homes, rather than being surrendered when owners were going through a hard time. In her honor, we have established the Gwen Romani Community Outreach Fund.
The purpose of the Fund is to provide resources and access to care, so that struggling families are able to keep their dogs. We will work with our many supporters, including other non-profits, to identify families in need and to evaluate how we may be able to help. More details will be forthcoming in the near future.
Please consider donating to the Gwen Romani Community Outreach Fund. It’s a way to honor an amazing woman, and a way to help us give back to the community that has supported The Brittany Foundation for so long.
