Welcome to The Brittany Foundation

The Brittany Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and placement of homeless dogs.

The dogs are shown at our weekly adoption program at our sanctuary in Agua Dulce. Please check our schedule for adoption events. While in our care, the dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and given a thorough check-up along with any necessary medical attention. Our dogs are also microchipped.  If dogs are not adopted, they will live at the sanctuary for their entire life.  We run a no-kill facility.

We rescue all dogs, regardless of breed, and we often focus our efforts on the harder-to-place dogs such as seniors, disabled or abused dogs, and "media condemned" breeds such as Pit Bulls, Chow Chows, & Dobies. It's relatively easy to find a home for a cute little Chihuahua, but the gratification for us comes from placing the 6-year-old Pit Bull with one eye, the stray mutt who has never had a home before, or the 12-year-old Doberman with severe separation anxiety (who is now living in a wonderful home of his own). Of late, we are rescuing more puppy mill dogs and victims of foreclosure. Of course, we also have the adorable, easy, well-behaved angels who are still searching for their forever homes too.

California Pet Lovers License Plates!

Help Brittany Foundation and spread the word about spay/neuter at the same time!

As a leader in the effort to eliminate pet over-population through spay/neuter education, Brittany Foundation is participating in the California Pet Lover's License Plate program.  These license plates let the world know that you advocate ending pet overpopulation.  If enough Brittany Foundation supporters purchase the plates, we'll win a cash prize to help us save even more dogs!

To order, just click on the link below and in Step 4, "Please indicate how you learned about the CA Pet Lover's Plate," select Brittany Foundation from the drop down list.  It's that easy!

We are Volunteers

volunteers

The Brittany Foundation is an all-volunteer organization. Our devoted staff handles the care, feeding, event coordination, public awareness campaigns and many other needs for our busy facility. Brittany Foundation volunteers know each dog personally, and they know how to assist you in finding the right dog for your needs, home and lifestyle.

Without the devotion to animals that the Brittany Foundation volunteers bring to our organization, we could not survive to help these dogs find homes.

If you are interested in volunteering, check out the "Get Involved" section of our website. Even if you can't give a dog a home, you can make a difference in an animal's life. The Brittany Foundation is always seeking fellow dog lovers to assist our humane mission.

We need labor for construction, landscape maintenance, providing socialization and care for the dogs in their kennels, staffing events and administrative tasks. We are a working ranch that always has projects which require help, for example with brush clearance during fire season.
