The Brittany Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, care and placement of homeless dogs. We run a no-kill facility.
We rescue all dogs, regardless of breed, and we often focus our efforts on the harder-to-place dogs such as seniors, disabled or abused dogs, and "media condemned" breeds such as Pit Bulls, Chow Chows, & Dobies.

Wow! A huge THANK YOU to Bergie's Bar & Grill and Alaskan Brewing Co for a fantastic fundraiser benefiting The Brittany Foundation!
These two awesome companies partnered to raise $2300, which goes 100% to the care of the dogs at The Brittany Foundation! A special Thank You to Renee & Mike, owners of Bergie's Bar & Grill, and to Chris Sheldon and Zack Hitchcock with Alaskan Brewing Co. We're so fortunate to have met these dedicated supporters of animal rescue!
Thank you to our supporters who went to Bergie's and bought a paw print or Husky IPA to support us. We hope you had a great time and that you'll go to Bergie's in the future!

Join The Brittany Foundation and some of our darling adoptable dogs as over 400 local vendors participate in this two day event featuring an arts and crafts fair with jewelry, accessories, home goods, home improvement suppliers, hand crafted items, fashion products and so much more!
On Saturday, kids can also experience the Shakey Quakey House, simulating an earthquake inside a mobile classroom courtesy of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. See Search & Rescue animals, horses and watch us destroy a vehicle in a simulation of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Jaws of Life rescue.
To find our booth, go straight from the main entrance and under the archway. We will be on the right, toward the end of the main aisle.
Bowie Jr: We usually feature a dog who's ready for adoption, but this month we have a special case. Bowie Jr came to The Brittany Foundation with severe cherry eye and a mass on his abdomen. He has already had surgery for the cherry eye, but we have since discovered that the mass is malignant. We are having it removed surgically and we expect a full recovery, but the surgery is a bit complicated due to the location of the cancer. Bowie is a friendly and playful 7 year old, and we're looking forward to the day when he's healthy and ready to go into a new home!
If you're able to donate toward Bowie Jr's surgery, we would greatly appreciate it! And we will keep you updated on his progress!

Many of you know our friend and former Adoption Coordinator, Gwen Romani. Gwen touched many lives, and her passing on September 17, 2018 deeply saddened the entire Brittany Foundation family, as well as her many loving friends and family members.
Gwen volunteered with The Brittany Foundation for over 10 years. In addition to adopting several dogs from us over the years, she worked directly with our dogs at the ranch, served as our Adoption Coordinator, and contributed so many great ideas as well as thousands of hours of her time. She was a huge advocate for helping dogs to stay in their existing loving homes, rather than being surrendered when owners were going through a hard time. In her honor, we have established the Gwen Romani Community Outreach Fund.
The purpose of the Fund is to provide resources and access to care, so that struggling families are able to keep their dogs. We will work with our many supporters, including other non-profits, to identify families in need and to evaluate how we may be able to help.
Please consider donating to the Gwen Romani Community Outreach Fund. It’s a way to honor an amazing woman, and a way to help us give back to the community that has supported The Brittany Foundation for so long.
